Pearl Jam No Code
Voto:
No Code deserves a 5. A masterpiece by Pearl Jam in my opinion. Full of experimentation and sounds that are not exactly "pearl jam."

Fantastic. Brilliant in their own way. Their first 3 albums are a solid 5. One should understand Norwegian to fully grasp the irony of the lyrics. By the way, they sing in Stavangersk (which is the dialect of Stavanger). It's a bit like a band in Italy singing in Neapolitan or Milanese. Musically, they are superb, and they are even better live. A nice review that encourages listening to the album but perhaps treats it a bit simplistically.

Hi Ole! Well, to be honest, I never really left. Honestly, I got a bit fed up with actively participating in DeBaser because of some pretentious, vulgar, and annoying idiots. Maybe the desire will come back to me. How are you doing?

Seen last week here in Trondheim. Their city. Explosive as always, they took the stage in threes, no frills. Guitar, bass, and drums. They smashed it all and left with smiles. A classic moment.

In my opinion, the review is awful. I would rate it between a 2 and a 3. I saw them live in Melbourne and they don’t impress at all; in fact, they can be quite annoying at times. Explain to them that a true musician never looks at the instrument while playing… Overall, their music (on CD) isn't bad.

Of course, I don't mind if you intrude, Shò; on the contrary, I'm glad. Castaneda isn't widely known, and it's nice to have a chat with someone who has read and appreciated his works, especially from an "educational" perspective. I agree with you that "what's important is not whether a story actually happened or not; what's important is that it contains a truth," but my character leads me to a natural skepticism that is hard to control. As for lucid dreams, it's true—they're quite achievable with little effort. Coincidentally, I have a friend who is currently in Mexico following in the footsteps of what Castaneda did and lived. I haven't heard from him in a while, but I saw he's been tagged in some photos on Facebook, so he's still alive :). I'll let you know as soon as he gives me a detailed account of his experience!

@Dr. To be honest, I've only read the first three, and Shò's response is interesting to me as well. I believe I'll continue reading the following chapters. What still leaves me perplexed is the fact that it’s unclear how much of what Castaneda recounts is reality or fiction, and it seems almost impossible to discover.

As quoted by Dr. Fottermeier... Castaneda forever. If the album can describe even a fraction of the magic of Carlos's book, then it’s fantastic. I don't know if you, dear highly esteemed (southern) co-islander, have had the fortune/pleasure/orgasm of reading Castaneda's trilogy. If you haven't... I OBLIGE you to do so. I wanted to review the book for a while, but lately I’ve really had little time. In any case, lucid dreams for everyone.
