Black Sabbath Born Again

..a perfect contamination between Black Sabbath and Deep Purple..or rather, I could also say..the mephistophelian Deep Purple...perhaps in some parts the album abuses a bit too much of sonic darkness (see the obsessive Zero the Hero, for example). However, overall this LP captivates me more and more..perhaps thanks to the proto-doom approach of the riffs by the master Iommi...Great album, really...After that, Gillan will never sing like this again....By the way Fidia..I received your private msm, however (I don’t know why) I can’t read it..Even Punischer tried some time ago....Sullogin always gives me "error"!! Why do you think that is? Did you need to tell me something in camera caritatis? Ciao bello. Vinsex

An upper-tier, eclectic album brimming with shifts in tone and rhythm. An extraordinary concept that owes everything to the chameleonic genius of Daniel. The remarkable thing is that at certain points the eclecticism is so refined that it feels like you’re really facing different bands. From pure prog to electronic influences, grazing folk and then returning again to prog... Immense... review, better than the other but still completely inadequate to express the supreme value of the record. No hard feelings, let that be clear... but you could have said so much more.

A funny and enjoyable story... but here the profile is quite different... it’s more like a review... for someone like you, who experienced that album as a child and listens to it again today, I think it’s profoundly unfair to trash it like this, also because in its extreme commerciality it was well played (Jon Norum, does that ring a bell? Nothing alien, of course, but he's a great guitarist)... Since you received (I must say strangely) a good rating, I won’t vote for you, but I believe you can imagine how much I would have given...

Unfortunately, that type of growl voice serves to abhor the beauty of any melody... that's why I have never been able to digest the first albums of Paradise Lost, Anathema, and Tiamat... while I literally adore all the latest productions from these three bands... Don't get me wrong, the music is beautiful... but... it's a bit like Children of Bodom... a band with great potential... but... I just can't stand that voice... Anyway, as soon as you can, get something by Pain of Salvation... because you're a person with a "refined palate," I don't think you'll be disappointed... Bye!!

...you see, the truth is that, in my opinion, in satire the "boni mores" inevitably become evanescent, and the boundary that legality separates from illegality becomes, by force of circumstance, shadowy... I wholeheartedly agree on the powerful impact of "satire" and invectives in general on the betterment of individuals and the systems targeted. However, I repeat, the perimeter within which to express one's thoughts, when one starts to brush against personal freedoms, sexual identity, and life itself, becomes a bit like the corridors of those old late medieval castles... with every step, a trapdoor can open, full of blades, swords, and knives.

However, in some parts, a slightly softer tone wouldn't have hurt... come on!!!!...

Oh damn, the term was growl... perfect... thanks for the hint... anyway, I've now discovered a new band, the PAi of Salvation... if you haven't listened to them yet, I recommend checking them out at least once... the genre I would define as hybrid neo metal progressive... in short, music that finds its charm in its complexity...!

The review on Audioslave is mixed: a commendable cry of rebellion contaminated by verbal excesses (although upon rereading, I must say, not as violent as the ensuing debate... but still violent, let that be clear).
