...I respect your idea...however, I believe it is fundamentally contradictory to itself...the expression of emotions, by definition, eludes words...but by exacerbating this limit, everyone should refrain from expressing any idea...so that the very communicability would be compromised...As for your discourse about the soulmate, precisely because it is such, I don't believe words are needed to describe it...This record is absolutely not "my musical soulmate" and so I took the liberty of "freezing" it with what you, with little understanding and much speculation, label as verbal coldness...In any case, it is not up to you to decide on the alleged uselessness of my reviews...no one above has dared to say it, and frankly, your opinion, in terms of weight, does not count for much more...all you can do, if you find it appropriate, is to write a vibrant one full of verbal fireworks...

I didn't give the golden palm to that song just because Ronnie sings it..!! Of course, that's an added value.. this is undeniable, but it's also the song itself that convinced me.. Anyway, if the whole CD had had the intensity of "The chase" and downwards.. it would almost certainly have reached the levels of the first concept... What a shame.. In any case, I must point out that the two types of voices (Dio and Tate) are intrinsically different; the elf's voice, in fact, has a lower and warmer timbre.. consequently, over time it has remained "frozen" almost identical.. on the contrary, Geoff's voice, once practically a piercing high-pitched vocal piano, has almost "worn out" over the years.. just like what happened to similar singers... Ian Gillan and Jon Oliva above all.

ah ok...but in that case it would have been an implausible 3.5.....or almost 4

So if I had given 10, it would have been a succession of 5/5.........

...although this vinyl was lent to me many years ago by a friend...I fondly remember Pussy Willow and the title track...very epic...and almost Tolkien-esque, if we want...I didn’t dislike the album...but maybe three stars is a reasonable rating.

A good and objectively engaging review... however, it's too biased and emotionally charged. The truth is that, in my opinion, some albums, as good as they may be, undergo a sort of mythologizing by time, "hypnotizing" the listener's senses. This is not a criticism, let me be clear, but simply a consideration on the intrinsic limitations of us "enthusiasts". In any case, I can't give you less than 4, for the trust and especially for the richness of the content.
