Not to twist the knife in the wound, but it's absurd in person, I never even imagined such a thing. For what it’s worth, it's up there with snailking. But hey, take comfort, it was for a very slagg cause. I mean, you have the photo with Mike "jaundice" Williams, stuff that makes you entitled to go to work in a king buzzo suit. No kidding, tell the medal-billiards club about it.

I only read this about DFW, thanks (without the de-) to the reviewer.
Even though it’s not clear why the work received a 3.
The descriptions are more than just priapic; they are downright onanistic, just like the choice of vocabulary. Yet, this only enhances the quality (both figuratively and materially) of the work.
4 for the review because I know you can write better, 5 because I’m not sure if the book could have been written better.
