In this case, I agree with Cliff; nu-metal has nothing to do with St. Anger... I’ve heard that Kirk is working on solos for the songs on this album and that they’re re-evaluating them... they are not the first fools to go through Metallica, and they’ve realized that they took a step longer than they could with St. Anger... they published it on a whim, without properly studying it... I wouldn’t call it commercial (yes, it was heavily promoted, you find it next to Britney, etc... but the music is anything but commercial, it sounds like an under-produced album!!!)... just think, they created it without a bassist... they just wanted to get back to doing something, that’s all! It’s probably better to postpone judgments about the band until the next album..... we await with curiosity (and hope!)

Hi Cla... back in the days of Bleach, Dave Grohl was playing with Scream (or he wasn't in Nirvana!)... the drummer, as written on the cover, was Chad Channing, who wasn't very liked by Kurt and Kris because of his metal vibe... at least that's how I remember it! Dave Grohl joined Nirvana from Nevermind onwards!
