I hate records with instrumental saws.. what you call cool music is often retrogressive crap. A band like the Red House Painters or Codeine, for example, are the ultimate anti-trend and you won’t find ANYTHING "cool" about them. They are very depressed and yes, they bring you down, but this happens because they communicate something that bourgeois capitalist consumer society etc. does not contemplate regardless: pain and existential boredom, which emerge when one frees oneself (at least mentally) from the artificial cultural chains that others stick onto us as soon as we come into this world. On the other hand, for you, Obladioblada is a nice piece, right? Well, it all makes sense.. those who hold the reins of society from above need people like you, don’t worry. You also contribute to the Status Quo, go ahead!
