I'm listening to it now; they could also be called Banana Pears for some attitude references, of course, it feels like being at the greengrocer's... happy new year :-)

"Not the best of Led, but giving it less than 5 means disregarding 90% of the rock that came after," or it could mean valuing 90% of the subsequent rock :-)

It took me a while to appreciate it, then I stumbled upon The Sadman. Spanish Air is a dive into the ancestral.

CCCP - Fedeli alla linea Canzoni, preghiere, danze del II Millennio

"Imagine that an album like Affinity could be conceived by a neo-Nazi group; that seems absurd to me; that album could only and exclusively be conceived by them." Because, is it possible that a band of young fascists or non-communists would enjoy playing post-punk? Is there perhaps a left-wing rock and a right-wing new wave? If I were to find out that David Pajo had Nazi sympathies in the early '90s, should my judgment on Spiderland somehow change? Would Dream Theater have more musical value than CCCP?? And what would that value be, reinterpreting pseudo-committed progressive stuff in metal format, with a polished production for young metal fans and pathetic melodies for those who are a bit less metal? Perhaps their musical value lies in Labrie's vocal cords, which sing with the same soap opera pathos as Albano? Or in Petrucci's incessant solos, so original and visionary... and he really was the one to make us dream! I hope I've misinterpreted your post, but I don’t believe so.
