So everything is good, everything is shareable, a splendid record. So I’m no longer snobbish, always diplomatic in life, always a hit for the barrel and one for the circle.

Without inciting a quarrel, but this review is frankly intolerable, not only in its content, but especially in phrases like "destined to please and displease aprioristically, according to the schemes (the damn walls) that we all have in our heads"... I hope that with "everyone" you were also referring to yourself. Then there's the really cloying introduction, with that seemingly unresolved dichotomy mainstream/niche... and the story of the phantom envy... and the final gem, "Record already sold out everywhere, and tickets already gone, for these guys who have always lived huge success, and, like it or not, greatly deserved." Really, it seems like a review from Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni, a mix of populist banality for the little bourgeois of the suburbs, who read trash magazines only on Sundays because from Monday to Saturday they don't even have time to look at the teletext, overwhelmed as they are by work (and ignorance). I recognize the harshness of my intervention, but enough is enough; we have already fallen apart in terms of information in Italy, let's not put more burden on Deb. Not everything can pass unnoticed, and stop with those jabs at cult artists. And then the falsehood of "4 not at all severe listeners"... you really have very, very confused ideas. Severity in judgments perhaps is lacking in those who continue to cling to the fetid and lobotomizing mainstream.
Curve Doppelgänger

I don't like how you write, I don't like how you judge. Doppelgänger is not a masterpiece, the search for a particularly sophisticated sound that you mention makes it feel insincere and very contrived, and the feedback comes out of the speakers more to daze than to showcase talent. Better the Lush.

The Queen sold out because they were obviously mainstream, it's not about reading the reviews of fake alternatives. And those who criticized Queen continued to do so even after '91, no one had (justifiably) any issues or scruples about it.
