Thank you, buddy. As for glam, honestly, I wouldn't know; I see it simply as a dandy way of expressing oneself. Maybe there aren't any distinctive musical contents, and perhaps that's why it has often been underestimated and belittled. Regarding Queen's lyrics, I can tell you that content-wise, they were anything but glam. They have influenced, and significantly so, the epic heavy power metal bands we listen to today, primarily BLIND GUARDIAN, thanks to their timeless fantasy/medieval style. Of course, those who know Queen from RADIO GUGU, RADIO GAGA, ignore all of this. That's why I advise Adriano Bernard to think of them every now and then when listening to Stratovarius Et Simila, and to reflect when he says that Queen gave nothing to rock music. Nothing could be further from the truth, of course.

Adriano Bernard, true art (in my opinion) as Oscar Wilde stated, is ABSOLUTELY USELESS, in the sense that anyone who combines ethics with art "is an unforgivable stylistic mannerist" (I quote Wilde verbatim). "We can forgive a man for having done something useful as long as he does not admire it. The only excuse for having done something useless is to admire it intensely."

We Are The Champions was a bit self-congratulatory, but it wasn't bad. Unfortunately, it has been marketed more than Nutella.

FOR CICCIO FROM GRANDMA DUCK. QUEEN WERE GLAMOUR in form, not so much in substance. An example of glam that really had an impact? The T-Rex, I believe.

And what do you mean by the difference in how the guitar sounds for Queen and Pink Floyd? (If anything, the difference is between May and Barrett/Gilmour, not between Queen and Pink.) The styles of the two bands were vastly different, indeed one was the opposite of the other. Waters wrote socially engaged lyrics, talking about human alienation and the incomprehensibility between individuals. A fierce critique of society. The Marx of music that, however, combined individualistic demands of symbolic interactionism. Queen? Absolutely disengaged music, profoundly Wildean in nature, where THERE WAS NO PLACE FOR ETHICS, where music was not meant to teach anything to anyone, as it did not make the listener better or intellectually superior. It was pure entertainment, meant to entertain. Behind the entertainment, Queen concealed deep-seated and irrational fears; beneath the parody and irony lay poorly identified ghosts, they LAUGHED AT THE TRAGEDY OF LIFE. And that's no small thing.

PATRIOTIC QUEER CHART-TOPPING SAPPY TUNES???? OH JESUS CHRIST, TAKE CARE OF ADRIANO BERNARD, WE'RE LOSING HIM! DIDN'T QUEEN INVENT A GENRE? BUT WHO MIXED GLAM, HARD ROCK, AND PROGRESSIVE BEFORE THEM?? ANSWER ME! AND THEN YOU CRITICIZE A NIGHT AT THE OPERA AND QUEEN 1 AND 2???? NOT TO MENTION SHEER HEART ATTACK! IF YOU ONLY KNOW RADIO GA GA AND I WANT TO BREAK FREE, HURRY UP AND FILL YOUR MUSICAL GAP ON THE QUEEN! HURRY UP!!!!!!! BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY IS A CHART TUNE??? I HOPE I MISUNDERSTOOD, VERY MUCH SO! IT WAS CONSIDERED THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG OF THE LAST 25 YEARS SOME TIME AGO! AND THEN, DO YOU WANT ME TO BELIEVE THAT A MOMENTARY LAPSE OF REASON BY PINK FLOYD IS WORTH MUCH MORE, FOR EXAMPLE, THAN INNUENDO BY QUEEN? PLEASE, ENOUGH WITH THESE CLICHÉS. PINK FLOYD ARE MUSIC, THAT'S TRUE, BUT IF YOU DON'T KNOW QUEEN'S LONG CAREER FROM 1973 ONWARDS, PLEASE DON’T SPEAK. MY GOD.

PLEASE don’t be snobbish, the album is not to be discarded. Listen to it at least once, and in full. The days of 50 Special are long gone. Enough with this annoying attitude. The songs are decent, the arrangements more than good. Compared to his "illustrious colleagues," Cremonini is pure gold in the current Italian light music scene. And besides, he’s also a nice guy.

And please, don't reason in "myths." Otherwise, here even Vasco Rossi becomes an "artist." If we want to analyze the facts, let's do it with knowledge and precision. And let's avoid clichés.

And then, just to give an example, I believe that songs like Bohemian Rhapsody and The March of the Black Queen are more influential than songs like Speak To Me-Breathe and On The Run, if you don't mind me saying.
