I also read an interview with a guy who claimed that rock and metal were dead, just a little while ago... yes, from his point of view, rock died back in '91, but he meant it in an artistic aspiration sense, as if it has already said everything it needed to say. Despite this, he admits that good albums or songs have been born from '91 to today in the rock realm, but these good things are, for him, anachronistic, in the sense that making good rock or metal today is useless and out of time: we are in a Post era, a middle age waiting for the new genre that (for the interviewee) is METAL UNITED WITH ELECTRONICS (industrial, in short, like Fear Factory, to make it clear). But "artistic" rock is dead.

You are a fool, MrMorte. Have you ever taken a look at the lyrics of Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson? Do you know the meaning of "Metropolis Pt1" by Dream Theater? And of Pt2? Or Opeth? And Radiohead, Tool? What about all the most famous metal rock bands... the only truly idiotic lyrics are those of Manowar, Blind Guardian occasionally indulges in their medieval fantasy, Rhapsody, many death/black metal bands... but you don't understand a damn thing about music, that's the reality. Rap isn't music because it’s all sampled, with those damn electronic beats; only Tupac stood out among the most well-known.
