Laura Pausini Resta In Ascolto
Voto:
Sure, but now let's stop wasting time on Laura Pausini, the Blues, and Gigi D'Alessio. It's known that every comment will inevitably be negative about them. Let's comment on reviews of albums that deserve it.
Opeth Morningrise
Voto:
No, because if you listen to Octavarium by DT and then say that Morningrise sucks, you should be committed.

I admit that you're nice, but you keep saying incorrect things. I adore Black Rose Immortal. I listen to the album with great emotion, maybe not all at once, like three songs at a time. If you go online looking for reviews, you’ll see the positive comments about this record, which are abundant. Maybe you don’t have the right sensitivity to listen to it. Have you thought about that? "Everyone I know agrees, even those obsessed with Dream Theater, with all kinds of prog and more..." BUT WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY?? But you know, my dear, that this record has nothing to do with DT, right? Do you know that you can't even fully define Opeth as prog? So tell me: What progressive albums do you usually listen to? Oh, one more thing: How old are you?

I was talking in general about the overvaluation of so many bands today by the public and certain media, which praise, give extremely high ratings, and laud groups that, in my opinion, are good, very good, but not extraordinary. That's all. I think too much is made of it. And people often talk too much about innovation without really knowing what they're saying. Porcupine Tree is one of these bands. I will listen to some more of their stuff if you want, but I've heard some (many) things that Easy and so many others have recommended to each of us over the past months and years, and today I am no longer shocked in front of the Porcupine; I don't know if you understand me.

Maybe we didn't understand each other... I criticize the DT in a way you can't even imagine, and you can't know how much I've downscaled them recently (even though I haven't reached Easy's destructive conclusions and probably never will). Portnoy and Co can drop dead as far as I'm concerned (right now), being a band that over time has proven unable to renew itself. Probably if they had composed 2 or 3 albums instead of 8, it would have made much more sense for their discography. Albums like Octavarium, Train of Thought, and partly also Six Degrees are really useless in my opinion. I also own Deadwing, by the way. I don’t elevate Porcupine Tree independently of the DT; it seems clear by now. And reread my sentence: "they're a nice band, they play good music." If all criticisms were like this...

I don't know what to tell you, they may have changed their "sound" over time, from album to album, but I don't see them among the fundamental groups of Rock. And I've also listened to Sky Moves Sideways. A nice album. The second part of the first song on the album is particular. But I don't scream miracle when I listen to it. They have re-developed a sound from the 70s, but I see it as a bit of a self-indulgent development. An embellishment of what was already heard many years ago. Let's say that perhaps the average quality (not very high) today in rock (talking about reasonably established bands) leads us to overrate bands that once would have gone unnoticed.

Trust me, the Porcupines are overrated (at least from what I've heard). It's not enough to completely take on the Floyd's style and add electronic elements to claim they're original... they are a nice band, they play good music, but there are plenty of others like them.
