Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory

Easy, what do you think of this statement by Scaruffi regarding the song New Millenium by Dt... "If it's possible to imagine a fusion of new age and heavy metal, this track is an excellent example."? It doesn't seem like just a formal statement to me...

Sorry to interject, but I believe that averaging discographies doesn't make any sense. The average depends on the number of albums created, as well as the ratings they received. Obviously, a band that has produced few albums but good ones has a higher probability of a better average than a band that, on the contrary, has released many, both good and less good. Unless you've counted a certain number of albums for all the bands you've mentioned.

Moreover, when they composed that piece "the night and...", Opeth were absolutely underground; nobody knew them, and their audience was rather "hidden" for that matter.

"it doesn't serve to communicate something social, nor a particularly alienated emotional state, as is generally done in death but not only, also in certain hardcore derivations for example... interesting but... are you sure? Sure that the sound of Opeth is culturally and socially A-communicative? We should see what was going through Akerfeldt's (the singer of Opeth) mind when he wrote that song... you can't know."

Yes, but Scaruffi in a review says the things I told you... okay, we understand each other anyway.

Easy, I agree with you, but Scaruffi said it, don't take it out on me! I’ve known that Masterpiece means capolavoro since I was 10 years old.
