saving people from suicide... but do you realize that we're talking about everything except artistic value? I don't want to conduct a sociological study on Evanescence; I’ll just say that artistically they are awful. But is it possible that intellectualism is so hard to grasp? Even among the fans of Eros Ramazzotti, there must have been someone who avoided suicide thanks to his "Music"... but that's a different field; I think you can figure that out on your own. Otherwise, you would be forced to admit that any music that evokes emotion is quality music... obviously, that’s not the case, and I don’t think I need to explain to you why.

I don't see any growth, honestly. Amy's statements mean little; what’s much more important is what their "music" wants to communicate. Of course, Amy will never tell you in an interview that her band plays "commercial goth"... that would be equivalent to saying "we play shitty music"...

I honestly don’t see any signs of maturity… always the same nonsense. What Amy says in the interviews doesn’t really interest me much, to tell the truth. I just finished listening to Alpha Centauri by Tangerine Dream, and talking about Evanescence now slightly disturbs my stomach (and my mind)… :-P

Bah, Iron Maiden.. Fear of the Dark was the beginning of the end. From there on, only insufficient albums (including FOTD itself). Brand New World, as "Pop", easy listening and clever as it is, seems to me the most listenable from Fear onwards.
