Lullaby LAnd of the VR, not VP (Vampire Rodents).

mmm... for me some of the best albums of the 90s are Spiderland by Slint, The Downward Spiral by Nin, Consumer Revolt by Cop Shoot Cop, Good Son by Nick Cave, Loveless by My Bloody Valentine, the beautiful Lullaby Land by VP, Yerself Is Steam by Mercury Rev... I don't want to make a scruffy shopping list, but these records are truly unmissable. Much more than Blackwater Park and The Sky Moves... The 90s are rich with excellent albums and great music...

For me, the difference is more than just a hair's breadth...I don’t think the Pt are that great, that’s all. Also because I find them quite derivative. "the Sky Moves...", I repeat, is a very good album.

Well, I listened to Kid A briefly (a long time ago). It seemed like a good album, but I can’t say much because I should re-listen to it. As for the Pink Floyd, it’s definitely not true that I have to like all of them... one thing is A Saucerful of Secrets, another is Dark Side.

Thank you for the calm and objective comment, Vufero. Did those 300 who went to see the Pt or not think that Wilson's band was one of the greatest bands of all time? Answer honestly.

At least you'll agree with my last statement, Dave ;-)

no killgod, I really don’t care if this album has immense technicality... I didn’t kick out Radiohead... The early Pink Floyd albums (which you hate so much) are just a tad superior to this one... just a tad...

I knew that here in Italy there was a Feeling between Wilson's band and us citizens of the Beautiful Country...I don’t know, I wouldn’t know how to quantify the success though, Shine ;-)

You'll understand, I wanted this review to be read simply. I expected the 1s, but I still firmly believe that this album by Pt is pumped to the extreme. And in general (for what I've listened to), the whole band is greatly overrated. For me, Pt is a good band, but not a historic one. No.
