"it is now taken for granted that porcupines are not an overrated group"....but based on what Knowledge?? Did the Holy Spirit come down to your house last night and suggest it to you??

But my friends... Wilson hasn't done anything wrong to me! Many of your arguments lead down narrow and inconsistent paths with my thoughts. Aside from the fact that I take it for granted that this is an absolutely mediocre album (I mean Deadwing), regarding the PT in general, they are ARTISTICALLY overrated, not in relation to how much they have sold worldwide, or whether they are more or less known than DT... "Sky moves..." is a great album, regardless of whether it sold 2 copies or 2000, "Deadwing" is a mediocre album, regardless of whether it sold 2 copies or 2000... that's my opinion! When I come to Debaser and see 10 reviews out of 10 for PT where the rating is constantly 5 stars, for example, I think that the virus of the die-hard fan has taken hold on this site, that's all!

When can we expect a review of A Chaos Of Desire?

But the group knows each other well enough, Dave... everyone has their favorite artists, I just have the feeling (tell me if I'm wrong) that apart from progressive (rock and Metal) and psychedelia, you don’t like anything else... (in the rock sphere)... (we don’t even talk about Punk, I know you hate it)... X-D

Look, my friend, if you follow today's progressive scene, you can't not know the Pt, at least by name.. you can easily find them in stores, they are not that underground, guys! It also depends on the people you have around... if your friends listen to Pooh, I believe they wouldn’t know them! I was referring more to their enthusiastic reviews that you can find on Debaser, but also on the Web in general. Often the surname Wilson is accompanied by the term "genius," and this leaves me a bit puzzled. (The same thing happens with many other bands, but let's leave that, it's another discussion). I simply stated my opinion on a review regarding an album; only this time instead of being positive, it was negative. I don't see any national incident! If you don’t like mine, there’s always Socrates’ review just around the corner, on the same LP! You say my De-Review wasn’t bad... but if it was as bad as you say, would you rate it -15?? X-D

I thank Core a core and Beppe 83 for the compliments. Regarding mementomori... why shouldn't I touch on Pt? For me, the "untouchables" of rock are the Velvet Underground, the Grateful Dead, Pere Ubu, just to name a few classics. There's no need for innovation at all costs, for heaven's sake, who says that? It's just that I would like a minimum of originality and communicative sensitivity. And I didn’t find it in this album. Are Pt fans few? Fine, but those few, in my opinion, glorify their favorites more than necessary. There are people who spit on Images And Words by Dt and get emotional over this record... not realizing that the difference between the two albums isn’t exactly vast... we live off clichés, alas! Anyway, I noticed interesting reviews written by you, Memento. You propose things that might intrigue me, like Dark wave, industrial Metal... if you feel like it, could you give me your Msn contact so you could enlighten and recommend me in that sense? Bye!

Goodness, if I consider those albums superior to Pt and Opeth! (I'm a fan of Opeth, you know), oh well... I don't understand why you don't like them.
