Do you want an example of true varied and multifaceted expressiveness in rock? I highly recommend you listen to Doolittle by the Pixies, then we can talk about it again.

But excuse me, did I criticize the band by chance? I mean, a little honesty, please. I simply said that in my opinion, this album is not a masterpiece, but come on, when have I ever talked about the band? Did you hear the songs? After the fourth track, I can’t distinguish one from another anymore. What does it mean in music that "the riffing is always perfect"?? And what’s this story about progressive? Did I say that a band has to play progressive to be varied?? Then it’s not a problem of alienation (even Neurosis, for example, deal with "alienation," but with very different results). The alienated and alienating message is perfectly fine, but some melodies and riffs are practically interchangeable, very similar to each other. "The riffing is always perfect and of a spectacular mystical suggestion, the atmospheres of an incredible emotional depth... and the lyrics too... beautiful"... but what does that even mean? I mean, it seems like a pretty subjective interpretation of their music. In what way is this album objectively great?? "I simply believe that you UNDERSTAND NOTHING about this magnificent band!"... what are you rambling on about, kid? I’m talking about this album! I’ve listened to much more complex, challenging, and difficult albums to grasp and understand, believe me... I’ve seen your scattered comments on Debaser... it seems to me that apart from the Metal universe and its offshoots, you don’t listen to anything else. Am I wrong?

Sorry, but if you tell me that I have some issues, I take offense if you don’t mind, so take it easy. In this album, I reiterate that for me the songwriting of Katatonia is limited. The songs all have the same structure and the same expressive solutions, and it’s obviously monotonous. It’s so evident that it’s even pointless to reiterate it. I’ll tell you more, I’m not even the only one who thinks this way.

The best albums by Vasco are the first two... especially "Non siamo mica gli americani," which seems the most personal and "original"... after that, just a few scattered songs here and there.

I accept everything, as long as you don't tell me that Vasco is rock...

It takes little to change the channel if I see Vasco on TV.

MMM...3. The opening verse of Day of the Baphomets reminds me (a lot) of that of Painkiller by Judas Priest.

Let's hope to find Glider and Tremolo among the depths of my Hard Disk; I didn't listen to them back then... and I think I deleted them.. :-P
