IRIDE, I believe that "you don't like this because you are unable to understand" is a phrase that can definitely be used often. For example, to a fan of Vasco Rossi, if you make them listen to Pere Ubu, they will respond, "what the hell is this band?" Now, in that case, it's OBVIOUS that it's the fan of Vasco Rossi who is at a deficit because they are unable to appreciate a true masterpiece of rock.

So let's put it this way, I probably wouldn't even like the album if the review adequately reflects it as you say. And anyway, there's never just ONE way and ONE interpretation to talk about a record, that's well known.

CptBrioso, hi there, let me give you a really simple example. Dream Theater have been fundamental for all of Prog Metal, but they’ve given rise to clones of questionable artistic quality... and the Dt themselves are certainly not the pinnacle of rock... So, the fact that Maiden have influenced band after band may also be true, but just check out WHAT bands... one worse than the other! Even Manowar have influenced epic metal, but I certainly don’t thank them for that... only Helloween have been not only founders but also made great albums in the beginning, and I truly believe they are the most expressive Power band among the "classics." Unfortunately, though, they too have spawned terrible clones galore. But why is that? Because power is a genre that leaves no escape, it’s the ultimate anti-innovation, more than prog metal, more than classic hard rock, more than classic heavy metal... terrifying! X-D

Well, in Italy there has never been good musical taste, and the masses do not set the standard for judging an art. It's not that I have the nerve; I try to be consistent. If I don't like one, it's hard for me to like the others as well.

But what makes my criticism inappropriate? What logical and critical reason is there? I simply don't like redundant reviews that aim to astonish with apocalyptic terminology, period. I don't like it, and I certainly don't need to justify myself for that. But where do you see this superficiality and arrogance then? But I didn't even vote on the review? Shouldn't you reflect a bit more instead of intervening inappropriately? It seems so to me. Also, because I could accuse you of being superficial just as you did with me, word for word.

One could say that Manowar are pathetic. One could say that after their first albums, Maiden also began to suck.

At this point, I'm going to listen to the very first Gamma Ray, if I want Teutonic power metal in the style of Helloween that's still got some decency.

lovelorn what the hell do you want? But I can freely say whether I liked a review or not, right? I obviously know the genre, but even if I didn't, that wouldn't stop me from giving a judgment on the review. I commented on the review, not the album. Wake up, please.

Honestly, I didn't like the review... too self-satisfied (as AlessioIRIDE said), too needlessly sophisticated in terms. For an album that I feel is not a masterpiece (it's a feeling, I repeat). The introduction then leaves a bad taste in my mouth... but I don't want to seem like a party pooper, so I won't vote.

Great review for two pseudo artists.
