Dream Theater Falling Into Infinity

I am an exception because I was their fan. Then I came to my senses and voila.

You really ripped the balls off, though; this crap has already been reviewed 20 times. In some ways, Falling into Infinity Shit is their most ridiculous album after Merdavarium, Systematic Shit, Train of Shit, etc. Notably, the intro of New Millenium is IDENTICAL to that of Discipline by King Crimson.

Nice. Like the rece.

The album is interesting, it's cerebral and challenging at times, but overall it’s successful (Atlas and Tonto are the proof of that). It’s true that I find it impossible to listen to it in one go.

Guys, check out the Morphine covers then..

Ah well, of course.

This is undoubtedly the most ridiculous cover I have ever seen. In comparison, those of video games like Final Fantasy are monumental masterpieces.

Yes, I think so. The first 3 tracks of Valende are fine, but from Circles of Sorrow (very nice, but unnecessarily dragged out for 6 and a half minutes) I find them a bit tired. The two Garden tracks don't say much to me, Hessesopo... etc feels a lot like a farce just thrown in there (unlike the splendid Ectoplasmic Garden Party, which reminds me of Several Species of Small Furry Animals from Ummagumma, and whose title well reflects the content of the piece). The rest of the album is somewhere between pleasant (nothing makes sense) and evanescent for me (tracks 8 and 9). A nice album, but I prefer Funny... and then there's Oui, C'est Moi up there, too beautiful, with that little voice between David Thomas and Pingu (the cartoon)! Until next time!

Finally, an Italian album that I can give a solid 4! It's a shame that Valende doesn’t seem up to par..

Ale, as I told you in chat, these melvins don’t convince me... I prefer The Bootlicker from the trilogy.
