AHAH Guns'n'Roses, what a ridiculous band, C-grade rock... only Bon Jovi managed to do worse X-D

Indeed, Freddie as a solo artist has caused a bit too much havoc X-D

Mika won't create an album like Queen 2 even if he puts in a lot of patience; no way, I mean, we could wait a lifetime and he'd still not pull out a The fairy feller's Master-Stroke from his hat, he's just dreaming. Mika is pure plastic; we evidently have two different conceptions of the term banal. The early Queen consciously parodied, Mika unknowingly sucks (from what little I've listened to).

Yes, indeed Mica's music is exactly like that of the Queen, right Nè?! And above all, Mica is just like Freddie! It's uncanny!

Yes, in fact I was referring more to the cold and gothic atmospheres of Pornography. It's an album that inspires me with both coldness and dampness! Faircloth's voice seems more and more to be a mix between Robert Smith and Dean Wareham.

Cute, a bit monotone... Too bad about that name, a real burden X-D

I don’t know, they really seem to me like a mix between the Cure and Wire (and Floyd), they immediately came to my mind. Then again, distinguishing the other instruments from the single voice can sometimes be difficult; all the members have a certain philosophy that creates a common atmosphere. Anyway, yes, musically the JD are already more comparable (at times) to the RTS, but for me it remains more of a formal comparison.

So, in my opinion, Ian Curtis has a different attitude compared to Faircloth. The former expresses inner psychic dramas in a theatrical manner, while the latter feels more subdued to me, but above all it seems to me that he narrates an apocalypse that is more exterior than interior, more visual and physical than psychic. The same applies (and even more so) to Christian Death. I have never listened to The Cult, so I'll take this opportunity to note down Dreamtime.

Never deny the heavy riff contaminations in this album. The fact is that there's a difference between Mascis' solos (who also sometimes tends to get carried away in the guitar hero role, just listen to Beyond to realize this) and the countless clean and polished solo embellishments of many Metal bands.
