Vampire Rodents and residents a tune from 14-year-olds?? Alright, I raise the white flag. But first, I'd like to know where you dreamed up U2 and Depeche Mode while listening to these two cornerstones of the avant-garde.

"Larrok, you’re sinking deeper... it’s precisely in jazz where rock emerges that risks becoming repetitive and lacking expression."-----then don’t complain if Larrok sends you there, though, huh? I have the impression that when you mention Rock, you’re only referring to Rolling Stonz and Led Zeppelin and similar bands, which is basically just 10 percent of rock.

Muffi, yes I like to reflect on what I listen to, but I repeat: I just want to understand the meaning of BB, that's all. I can say that I agree with Larrok, especially when he talks about the greater expressive capabilities of Rock, a chameleonic, ever-changing genre that has made love to all other musical attitudes existing in the world... Rock really seems to me to be the junction of all popular music.

No MuffinMan, allow me to disagree. Emotions are subjective; it would be absurd to judge an album solely based on the pure emotions it evokes in me or in you. There are people who get emotional listening to Eros Ramazzotti, but that doesn’t change the fact that Ramazzotti's music, objectively speaking, lacks value. This is because emotions are individualized and subjective; we must look at the cultural aspect of the album, the message it conveys, indeed. Or rather, the album should tell a story of emotions, not just provoke them.

Yes, but in one of my posts I emphasized that I do not doubt the historical importance of the album, even though I will recognize its genius only if (I hope) I discover its meaning.. in fact, I just wanted to understand if Bitches Brew has a meaning in and of itself, taken as a work that should mean something, like all works do.. MuffinMan when I say beautiful I mean "full of meaning", capable of delivering a musical message that shows in what condition the artist's soul is sailing. For me, it feels as if those guys were playing exclusively for themselves and looked at each other with satisfaction saying "Oh, how wonderfully twisted we are, for heaven's sake, even more abstract, more and more!" What albums would you recommend, Conte?

No dream, I think it's the armchair that's crumbling like it’s glass... but the DTs have no good taste even in the covers, oh.

It's quite a blow too, I wouldn't know what rating to give it, also because I should listen to it again.

In Savopà, you understand music, don't you? You give 5 stars to Tarja ex-Nightwish, right?

Broken face communicates schizophrenia, hysteria, dementia. Not to mention the way it communicates (the most important aspect, that is, the true musical style). The message doesn’t have to be "deep," it just has to be understandable. Music, like any other aspect of art (and culture in general), should have meaning. And it’s precisely this damn individualizing society that, having fragmented everything, has isolated the individual cultural product and alienated it from its ultimate and general meaning! What sense does something have that makes no sense?
