Sure, it would just be enough to use the term ridiculous more sparingly, that's all.

Well, now I should stay calm, seems fair to me. After all, everyone would have been calm in front of your post. Furthermore, you also insist on telling me and reiterating: "And anyway, yes Lux, the fact that you want to find meaning and underlying conceptuality in ALL works seems ridiculous to me," and I should just stay quiet according to your little mind. Know that for me, the exact opposite is ridiculous, that is, not trying to give it meaning like you do. Then you emphasize the term ALL... and for what reason should some works be given meaning while others should not? According to what criteria? According to how things are going? Well. Have a good day.

Thanks Alè, TVTB. Especially if they understood that I don't want to convince anyone, and it's useless to keep relaunching every single post of mine, my opinion for now is that. But do you like BB, Alè?

Alfredo, you talk because you justified the greatness of BB with a, among other things, "Davis offers an inspired performance." Come on, my friend. Then I don't understand why you want to create these dictatorial regimes; I say what I want until proven otherwise, and I don't get this attempt to silence me. Oh well. Besides, you also try to be clever: "So tell me what's good about rock? Wow, your answers are so enlightening, unlike ours - 'expressiveness'" - hey, do all my previous posts not count anymore? I get fed up repeating the same things, right? I'm getting to the point where I start writing almost in monosyllables. "Considering also that you did acrobatics to try to twist Ajeje's phrases and continue to be right" - what are you babbling about? Acrobatics? I stated my opinion; you are the one who wants me to say that jazz is unique, sublime, splendid, and that BB is an exceptional album. I must have repeated at least 30 times that for now, I can't say that because it hasn't touched me as it should. "What’s the meaning of rain? And the meaning of a bug splattered on a windshield? Do socks have meaning? Do one-way streets have meaning?" - this trivial irony doesn't move the argument one bit. Do you want to mock me simply because I like to find meaning in what I listen to? That seems a bit paradoxical. Especially coming from someone who says, "And even if music is made 'solely' to delight the ears, so be it." No, Alf, you can’t flip the script on me.

Oh, but you’re the one who gives 5 to the DT and the cow Ex-Evanescence. It shows, look at that screaming review.

It's true that Third is heavily influenced by Davis (or rather, the jazz component is evident even to me), but the result seems different to me, more grounded, more physical than BB. Obviously, it’s not my favorite record, though. I deliberately chose a jazz rock record as an example to get to the point. Anyway, it's true that I generally don't prefer instrumentals, although saying so doesn't mean much. I even prefer Irrlicht or Alpha Centauri to BB, for example. Still in jazz, I have a good memory of Wes Montgomery; it's not quite the same for Light As A Feather by Corea, which seemed a bit artificial to me.

Anyway, I get where you’re coming from. Just for the record, I always prefer a Third from SM over BB.

However, it seems to me that I don't actually speak Turkish until proven otherwise. Vaccata or not, can I say that jazz, based on the records I've listened to, communicates much less to me than my favorite rock records? Can I? Or should I pay attention to what common sense dictates? That's how it is, plain and simple. I also told you "for the moment," but what more can I say? Is it more of a vaccata to say that "there's not necessarily a need for a message in music" or something similar? If that's the case, then everything is truly justified, and we fall into relativism. I've given my vision; I repeat, beyond "lux, you're saying a vaccata," it's not like we've moved beyond that. I also told you that I would listen to the record you recommended, but what more can I do?
