you would be wrong...:D...despite the fact that for me the Voivod are one of the highest peaks ever reached by metal. The thing is that Manowar (bleah) ARE heavy metal, while Voivod are "bastards" who mix heavy, thrash, prog (metal and rock), psychedelia, electronic parts, speed... Anyway, it’s great that you like Voivod XD

You have truly embodied what you mean by serious metal, and I swear it's an idea I respect... it's also true that many great metal bands have achieved a certain status precisely because they stripped away some of the hard and pure metal characteristics... just to name a couple? Cynic and that band you take your name from :)...

I have to be honest, I don't mind Stratovarius, of course in a general perspective of their career, but from there to say that they are NOT serious (from a "metal" point of view) I think is a bit of a stretch.

Anyway, I respect your idea ;)... bye bye and thanks for the clarification.
