Of course, it's logical that among them there aren't any exceptionally successful episodes. I believe that after more than thirty years of a highly respected career, if a donut doesn’t come out right every now and then, it’s not fair to blame the artist. But Metheny has (almost) always produced works of good/excellent quality. If this wasn't the point of your discussion, sorry :)

bum, the same albums for fifteen years? It doesn’t seem to me that "The Road To You" is the same as "Quartet," which in turn has nothing to do with "The Way Up." Damn, it seems to me that Metheny is always transforming; sure, maybe the changes haven’t been, let’s say, radical lately, and I can accept that. But from that to calling him an excellent craftsman of the guitar is a big leap, don’t you think, Puni? :D

Jokes aside (ours and yours), the review isn't bad, but I have to say, I appreciated the one on Ulver and the one on Borknagar much more... Speaking of Borknagar, does anyone know what happened to them? And most importantly, who did they get on drums after Asgeir left?
