Well, certainly if you bring the discussion back to the primordial foundations of the genre (Bathory, Celtic Frost, Death), then I can only agree with you, and without overly exaggerating, technical death is almost a negation of the true essence of early death metal :) ... I still believe in the evolution of sounds in all directions, so as far as I'm concerned, I appreciate this album and, in any case, the techno-death movement, most likely also because, being relatively young, I didn’t have the chance to listen to the early whispers of death.
Finally, I thank you for showing interest in my page and I bid you farewell with an equally friendly and transgenerational respect :)

So, I’ll start by saying, dear Mr. Sfascia Carrozze, that every comment of yours is always welcome: Death Metal as a convulsive, thick [in the sense of substantial] blanket of inhospitable, coarse, pestilential, disarticulated, a-melodic, ignorant, asphyxiating, uncompromising sounds and (ça va sans dire) extremely engaging, because (honestly and even without knowing the album under examination) I find it very hard to understand how the adjectives "technical" and "melodic" can be meaningfully interspersed and attributed in a similar sonic context. I have a different view from you regarding death metal, which for me can easily be melodic and technical.
Secondly, this album is not of the most recent publication; it’s already 11 years old, and if you happen to listen to it, it really seems to be a record that is in tune with the times.
As for the ratings, I tend to give high ones simply because I usually review albums that I like, and I always do it with a critical approach because, to give you an example, "Organasm" by Alchemist received 4 stars (even though I consider it absolutely deserving of 5) because I tried to be as critical as possible. Moreover, among the reviews I’ve written, there are also ratings that are not exactly high (Luca Turilli, for which I received a slew of negative votes; the same goes for Nightwish and at least 3 other albums in my not-so-crowded reviewography).
I therefore recommend that you listen to the album, and if you ever get the chance, let me know what you think.
Oh, one last thing to everyone: when commenting, please give ratings, as it’s nice for reviewers, at least for me, to know what people think of a review.

Ah, a little note for Aniel, it's not that I don't like Painkiller, in fact I wrote that it is indeed convincing, it's just that... well, you said it yourself, faced with all this divine goodness, it's almost too much in the sense that it doesn’t really add (or take away, it's clear) anything, that's all... it's still a beautiful song.

Thank you Hetfield for the comment and thanks to everyone for the comments! ... I'm sorry it's a duplicate, but this album is really important to me... I believe that along with Dreams D'Azur by Novembre and Forever by Quo Vadis, it's the death metal album I prefer the most. I apologize again, anyway...
