Great review, except for the first paragraph which I take as a personal offense. I’d like to suggest, if you haven’t listened to it, the latest album, Venus Doom; in my opinion, it’s worth it: although melodic, it's far from being sickly sweet. PS: could you give me a couple of tips on how to get this demo?? I’ve never heard two out of the three songs...

Rebelde, I've heard Venus Doom...I have it, but honestly, nothing...too melODIOUS.

An excellent musician, gifted with a taste that's out of the ordinary (the gem with Pat Metheny is drool-worthy), but he has always been a bit overhyped, making him come across as somewhat unlikable. That said, it doesn't change the fact that in his work he is one of the best.

uhm... now, damn it, I always have to be the one who criticizes... Starting from the assumption that I listened to them for a while (more or less 4 years ago...) these guys have a flaw, and that is, they seem like jesters, court clowns, call them whatever you want. Scarlet is the person closest to the concept of an idiot I've ever known; luckily, Alessandro (who is nothing special anyway) left the band, because he was risking scraping the bottom of the barrel continuing to play those hyper-symphonic black gothic things. After Lord Vampyr left, they even managed to make the situation worse, becoming even more pathetic and superfluous, with these half dark-wave, a bit gothic tunes that really lack anything... Well, maybe I’m the fool, but honestly, these guys really suck. Great review.
