Well... assuming that you already know this is an album I haven't particularly loved and that your analysis is still good, I completely disagree with the first paragraph since it's not true that they never sought fame; otherwise, such a softening of sound would be inexplicable (Nemo even aired on ReteA All Music, which doesn't joke when it comes to commercial appeal), and in this case, it's even amplified by tracks like Amaranth and Bye Bye Beautiful, where I can't find the heaviness you described. That said, I think the breakup with Tarja wasn't that difficult for Tuomas and the others, considering they had quite a bit of publicity and that Nuclear Blast further loaded them with money. That being said (let's be clear, these are very personal opinions and impressions, so if you need to respond, please do so civilly), I think this is an excellent review that offers a different perspective from the one that was already available... WELL DONE.
