this album is truly a surprise. I had been wanting to get one of their CDs for a while. I had listened to them but only "on the surface." I saw it at a low price and immediately jumped at the chance. I agree with their ability to blend anger and class, both in playing and singing. a seminal group that made history in those years. mr clean, to be someone, english rose, in the crowd, down in the tube station are masterpieces. thank you really. now I’ll also get the others. what do you recommend?

Of course I write these things while listening to "Siamese Dream" by the Smashing Pumpkins... you know, it makes me think... oh yes, those were good times... today, cherub rock... disarm... whatever... peace...

easy is not drastic. I fully agree with him. As for the lack of ideas, once the right formula is found, it's obvious that it doesn’t change. However, I must say that if Coldplay have become what they are, we can't just attribute it to the push and what’s behind it; of course, they are likely more hyped than any other band, but let’s also give credit where credit is due. They are good musicians, and even though the melodies are catchy, they are still beautiful. At least until they make a monstrous mistake, I will always appreciate them for what they are and what they do. In my humble opinion, this last CD sits between Parachutes and A Rush of Blood… one step below the first and one above the second… which I never really liked that much. But this, as usual, is from my modest point of view (pretty good English, huh?)

"white shadows" remains a masterpiece... those beautiful guitars... the voice is always the same... a nice CD for half of it... the first one. rating: 3.5
