Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band Trout Mask Replica
Voto:
I justify the 5. It centers around blues and free jazz, genres that, unlike the cheerful hippy melodies, have not aged too poorly and do not seem like living anachronisms. Beef's creamy voice and the general instrumental chaos provide the accessibility of a timeless classic. Safe as Milk, for example, sounds like acid-influenced Creedence Clearwater Revival, the foundation of Americana rock delivering wonderful songs, but still, at times: dated (Yellow Brick Tone). Trout surpasses all this with the stature of a classic; we see Trout of the '70s: The Residents - Not Available. '80s: Butthole Surfers - Psychic Powerless. '90s: Royal Trux - Twin Infinitives.
