There are a thousand ways to evade existential nothingness; the Bikini Kill have made feminism their life. Some choose politics, others religion, others social causes (feminism, human rights blah blah), others work, others love, others art; there is a need for something all-encompassing that gives meaning to an existence that lacks it. For me, the most interesting artists are those pathologically mentally ill, who no longer believe in anything and continue to tragically slide toward the end. Fugazi are good musicians but they are proactive; they fight against windmills, yet they too will die. To me, Fugazi are afraid; afraid in a way that the Jesus Lizard were not. This makes them so different. I abhor social music and cinema aimed at improving society – improve what? We will die anyway, and the pain of existence is much more interesting than well-being; nothing is born from happiness. I couldn't care less about dying children in Africa, feminists (inferior beings), bourgeois, proletarians, precarious workers, critics, and every other matter. I am a slacker, who has known boredom, a crucial understanding that nothing has meaning. If we already had every comfort and didn't have to work or struggle in community relations, the days (Monday, Tuesday), hours, months, and years would be meaningless; life would present itself as an identical block of days; we do not walk through time, we do not exist at all. We are just here waiting to die and imagining phantoms to bear this idea. De-chimerize yourself, sister.

@AlessioIride: Ahh hi Alessio, Amore Tossico is splendid, absolutely. Cesare Ferretti's monologue, the one with "avemo fatto proprio na' bella chiusura, bei sordi er giorno" is chilling, one of the peaks of cinema history. Pasolinian like few, but updated to the super heroin-addicted Roman province. "Sto a rota, nun c' ho i sordi manco pe' no schizetto invisibbile" "Vai enzimaaa." Ahh if you liked that I also recommend L'odore della notte, always by Caligari with Mastrandrea (ONE OF THE FEW CURRENT ITALIAN ACTORS WHO MATTER!). It's not at the levels of Amore Tossico, but considering it's an Italian film from the late '90s, it’s truly a masterpiece. It remains a nice noir. Caligari is great!

Take some crap that not even after 40 beers and six years of withdrawal would you touch (in your mind), then throw in a bit of lesbianism and hatred towards men, sprinkle it with a handful of two-chord punk and a cartoonish (feminist) voice: Bikini Kill! BUT THE STRA-MERDAAAAAA-INGLOBATED-DISPUTED -BY-A-BLACK-GUY-PIU-NEGRAAAAAAAAAA, WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS! Maryg, you who are a musician, listen to some real new wave, The Pop Group! Suicide! Pere Ubu! The Residents! Earth! Jesus Lizard! June Of 44! SLINT! Tortoise! Don't you realize yet that this music is completely dead and anachronistic and that it all rests on a fake feminism? Maryg, grow up.

Enough with this rebellion of spoiled kids, I’ve decided to change and grow up. No more pointless invectives. BUILD! SPEAK! COMMUNICATE! SOCIALIZE! I’ve changed now, thanks to all of you. A special greeting to Lewis Tollani, Spacca, Festwca, and Pretazzo.

Hi happy, I don't know that one, I'll get it. I'm still mesmerized by Viva La Muerte by Arrabal, which I recommend in case you haven't seen it. Even if there are numerous commonalities with Jodorowsky and Makavejev, two directors you're probably not crazy about. Is Antonio Das Mortes worth it, happy? I'm binge-watching Takashi Miike, Cronenberg, Tsukamoto, and Tarkovsky... for the series "Movies to watch while lounging under the umbrella with the laptop, hehehe."

I am a bored bourgeois who believes in supermanism and has never hooked up, and it would do me a lot of good. Please help me.
