It may also be a record for necrophiliacs, but it's explained that the deceased wanted the album, so I don't know if I can accept the consideration of psychopomps. On the other hand, I knew that since even among fans (like you, after all) the record is despised, non-fans would hate it even more. Amen, I think I wrote the review mainly for the fans who wanted to know more about it; I hope it was at least useful for them. As for the rest, I appreciate calm and well-reasoned critiques, like easycure.

How can I criticize a justification of such stylistic and poetic facture? At least I don't have to endure phrases like "the album is crap and you can go fuck yourself," usually signed by an anonymous. Thank You

I must admit I reviewed the album mainly to uncover the origins of the various songs... I wanted to reveal some curiosities. As already mentioned, it's for the fans. Queen are one of those bands that should be listened to without too many cultural pretensions... has anyone understood the definition of pure entertainment? In short, no one wanted to elevate it to a masterpiece. I rate the album because the score of the review is given with the heart.

Let's say the album is for die-hard fans. Sometimes I think the rating in the reviews is low because the album doesn’t resonate, and not because of how it’s written.

The first song I "sang" on stage was KILLING IN THE NAME.

One of my absolute favorite records, right at the top of the list. I'm personally connected to it, so I can't be impartial in my judgment, and perhaps I don't have enough musical background to assess it objectively. It's true that you need to be in a certain state of mind to truly appreciate it. Listening to this album is delicate; it's like those three-dimensional pictures where if you don't look in a specific way, you will never see the hidden image appear almost like magic. Tastes are subjective, but the importance of this album is evident in the way it provokes such contrasting reactions, making people feel the need to talk about it, whether positively or negatively.

I sent the review of Meddle, I think it will be on the site either tomorrow or the day after...

My analysis in the central part indeed examines the merits of the album... as a fan and with my heart, I also love this record (but I prefer the live versions of the new tracks from Pulse)... I wanted to detach myself from my condition as a fan (every cockroach is beautiful to its mother) to be as impartial as possible... I do not claim that the album is crap; quite the opposite. However, I see both strengths and weaknesses...

one of the best Italian albums of the last 10 years... if only there were more like this. I had my prejudices too, but then I listened to it and I liked it... not the Grignani you might think...
