Dear PFMORPH, when you quote phrases said by someone, it’s normal that the words are the same since they are in quotation marks. It’s not like Gilmour called me at home to tell me those things, and if you’re quoting, you must have found the phrases somewhere, right? So yes, of course I copied, you can’t rework interviews; you just present them as they are. It doesn’t seem like a difficult concept to grasp. Anyway, I wanted to ask you: did you print my review and then go to Ricordi to compare the book's phrases with mine? Are you some sort of copyright enforcement officer? Don't you have anything better to do in life? Or maybe you have my review memorized? In that case, I’m flattered. Anyway, I have the book at home, I bought it; I’m not going to read it for free in stores, ruining it all like you surely will, maybe after visiting Spizzico or Burger King or McDonald's and having greasy hands. What a thing! There aren't any good young people like there used to be.

And honestly, I don't find any unease in this album... if anything, it's unsettling. I think it's all about calming rock, which doesn’t disturb the fashionable girls listening to this music; they find it easier to listen to Avril than to Britney Spears, who tried to be more sophisticated. A fake rock, it doesn't shake me at all. You write well anyway, but as easycure says, you've really missed the subject through which to let your anti-snob thoughts flow. I also agree with you on a certain arrogance and superficiality of those who listen to "alternative" music, but here we really can't say they're completely wrong. I think we should be more relaxed in reviews, expressing strong concepts and even contrarian (or counter-contrarian) ideas, but always in a laid-back and sincere way. I couldn't care less about provoking; it’s nice to express oneself. See you!

The two singles from this album pretty much suck... now she’s talking about love in every song, always pissed off at the guy who doesn’t treat her the way she deserves. The album is boring, predictable, overproduced, big sounds but very little substance. The videos make me roll my eyes, so I'd rather listen to the songs from "let go," which didn’t try to be more than what they were, pop disguised as rock. Let’s forget about punk because that’s something else. I bet she didn’t even play a single chord on this record, and her voice is one of the most filtered and autotuned I’ve ever heard. The comparison to Alanis is at least out of place. It’s true, she could improve. But since she’s already sold millions of records with this crap, what motivation will she have to do something better? If Alanis Morissette was doing soul dance in her early days, at least she didn't sell this much. She sold once she improved and had the motivation to do so. Kylie Minogue totally outshines Avril Lavigne in charisma and everything else. And what genre would Avril’s music even be? Pop disguised as rock filled with guitar distortions that, no matter how heavy, are sweetened by a thousand overdubs and a structure that’s hardly rock. Too polished. No thanks, better to listen to Minogue, better to listen to Beyoncé, better to listen to Britney. At least they don’t try to be what they’re not. Money is their goal, and they all get it, including Lavigne.

Of course, I too with "maybe it's better if you check more carefully" should be careful :op

the review is really too long and uninteresting... too sprawling, rambling, with constant pauses and asides (to express the same concepts). And then the grammar, syntax, and spelling leave much to be desired... so many repetitions. You write a bit poorly... maybe it’s better if you check more thoroughly before sending.

I was also disappointed by the setlist. I saw them in Milan and the show was pretty varied:
1 As I Am
2 This Dying Soul
3 Beyond This Life
4 Hollow Years
5 A Fortune In Lies (maybe)
6 Endless Sacrifice
7 Another Day
8 War Inside My Head/&e Test That Stumped Them All (maybe)
9 Finally Free
10 New Millenium
11 Caught in a Web
12 Portnoy Solo
13 Honour Thy Father
14 Rudess Solo
15 Erotomania
16 Voices
17 The Silent Man
18 In the Name of God
19 Cover Iron Maiden
20 Metropolis pt1: the Miracle and the Sleeper
better than this CD. Moreover, in Milan, LaBrie sang like a god, really well. However, Myung was hard to hear even there. After all, how can you hear the bass with Portnoy and Petrucci making a racket?

publius enigma means nothing at all; it's just the usual trick to maintain the aura of mystery that hides nothing. It's all part of the "REVIVAL CLICHE' FLOYD" strategy. The cover refers to the theme of communication. The two half faces (which somewhat resemble the sculptures of Easter Island, if we want) are turned towards each other as if to talk. If viewed from another perspective, they could be one single face looking at us (like the optical illusions on the chalice and the two faces). But Storm's covers don't always have a precise meaning; primarily, they are suggestive or at most evocative.

Rereading Airone's initial comment, he writes to me, "there are a few inaccuracies." He gives me a 3 for the review. However, aside from the psychedelic genre, which I clarified was a selection error, he doesn't mention any others. With my chest puffed out in pride, I would like to know the other inaccuracies, given that I'm very familiar with the Floyd; perhaps Professor Airone can enlighten me even further. I find it annoying when people say, "there's something wrong," but don't specify what. If you say "dispersive" (just an example), then I understand where the criticism lies. Well, it's up to you. Bye!

Anyway, Billy Corgan has never been famous for being a drug addict... I don’t think he got high... maybe he smoked some weed but the rest doesn’t seem likely... only Chamberlin was getting wasted... luckily he stopped, because now he can play the drums again like only he and a few of his contemporaries know how to do...
