the review amused me... in the judgment, politics has nothing to do with it. for me, people matter, not "movements"...

BUT CAN WE DO IT? HAVING SEX IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET POLITICS OUT OF OUR HEADS, WHICH IS ONE OF THE MOST BASE ARTS EVER INVENTED. HAVE LOTS OF SEX ON THE LEFT AND ON THE RIGHT, EVEN IN THE CENTER, FROM BEHIND AND FROM THE FRONT, ABOVE AND BELOW, WITH SISTERS AND MOTHERS OF WHOEVER YOU WANT, AT THE CIRCUS, IN THE PARTY HEADQUARTERS, AT SCHOOL, ON THE STREET, DURING DEMONSTRATIONS, AT YOUR HOUSE, AT OTHER PEOPLE'S HOUSES, IN 2s, IN 3s, IN 4s, POLVERONE STYLE, "ONE BEHIND THE OTHER" STYLE, WITH PEOPLE OF ALL RACES, OF ALL NATIONS, EU CITIZENS, NON-EU CITIZENS, RELIGIOUS, ATHEISTS, ETC... ETC... REALLY, ARE YOU STILL WASTING TIME ON POLITICS? ON IDEALS? ON PARTY GUIDELINES? ON THE POLITICAL HISTORY THAT SHOULD REFLECT IN TODAY'S POLITICAL SCENE FILLED WITH MINDLESSNESS? COMMON SENSE AND GOOD SEX, THESE ARE TWO THINGS I BELIEVE IN. AND LOVE... GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

great review. It's rare to read someone who gives the impression of knowing exactly what they're talking about. I only know the singles from the album, though...

It takes little to spark a debate... all it took was mentioning Document by REM (likely an album a bit overrated) and immediately someone wrote: "REM compared to The Cure are worth nothing" or "what are you talking about, Document is a beautiful album"... what a drag, guys. MENTAL ELASTICITY, no one insulted your mothers! Anyway, I'm not familiar with the album, but the review piqued my curiosity and I’m going to listen to it.

Anyway, it’s not “della zuckina”... rather “del zuckina” as if I were a scholar like Manzoni... zuckina is enough without definite articles thank you ladies and gentlemen.

Anyway, I would like to reiterate a point... I like the album. For this reason, do I think that Dream Theater are innovative and original or that they are the best band around? Absolutely not. Among the first things I noticed while listening to the album (aside from the technique, the time changes, and the speed) was indeed the resemblance and the countless references to many bands I knew and appreciated. Similarities that could be shameless tributes instead of plagiarism (if I want to be kind), and they give a fresh flavor to a product that was starting to feel stale with the previous album. But there is no innovation, there is no originality; it’s all a rehash in a progressive metal key of a thousand other things that have been done and redone. Not that this is a bad thing or forbidden; heaven forbid, great bands should serve as a reference for those that come after. I just wish that those who listen to Dream Theater understand that certain things simply cannot be said. In short, there should be moderation in judgments. If easycure commented on this album like this (a review that had also pissed me off at first), it’s because he wanted to jolt everyone who took every note from Dream as gold and as innovation and originality, just because they hadn’t listened to a thousand other things. Instead of getting angry, I go listen to all the bands and artists he mentioned, so maybe I can broaden my musical culture. Come on guys, be good, and you’ll see that easy will actually be kind of likable!

Is 1998 over? Really? Why hasn't anyone told me? Does anyone know that the album was released in 1999? ;o)
