Steven Spielberg Schindler's List
Voto:
This film, which has been shown in schools for years and years, is GARBAGE. It’s rhetorical and poorly written, with an awful Zionist message, and the characters are so shallow that they are characterized just enough to correspond the name to the actor's face. The story is presented to us with such cunning that only a stupid viewer completely conditioned by hypocritical moral scruples could manage NOT to vomit. The idea of the girl in the red dress (praised by many and described as something quite profound) is nonsense. The only cool thing about Spielberg is the battle scenes in Saving Private Ryan (the only beautiful things he has produced from behind the camera), but the rest of that film is so full of sly rhetoric that it’s impossible not to feel the urge to get up and tell it all to take a hike.
Christopher Nolan Memento
Voto:
It's a stupid screenplay. For me, it was unbearable right from the first revealing scene, the one of the autopsy on the girl.

Trucido, I perfectly understand what you mean. As for the others... Von Trier overrated? Pure cinema that doesn't exist? Much better (for me) to go read another review.

line 32: "Von Trier has been brilliant in imagining such a heart-wrenching plot, but indeed, he has been good from a strictly technical point of view, not artistic." ... what the hell are you talking about?!
Christopher Nolan Memento

Insomnia is scandalous because it's so bad.
Elio Petri Todo Modo
Voto:
what a film… what a film!! I don’t know if it’s just my impression, but it seems to me that Volontè embodies both Moro (gestures, appearance) and Berlinguer (voice, intonation) at the same time. a film that is simply mandatory.

Wow, what a transport, it’s clear that this film stuck with you. I heard a lot of good things about it, too many for it to be something ordinary. I got it and watched it, but only after clearing my mind of all the opinions I gathered about "Memento." What I found was a formally innovative film, but way too boring, too boring. It has a somewhat dreary quality that becomes self-contagious.

"The desert is round. To find the 4 masters, we must move in a spiral." Just that one sentence is enough to drive me crazy for a movie. And indeed, that's exactly what happened.
