Did you like Volver? I haven't seen it yet.
Richard C.Sarafian Vanishing Point (Punto Zero)

this film is full of "the '70s" (the naked motorcyclist, the freed snakes, the quirky gathering of hippies in the middle of the desert), inaccuracies (how the hell do Kowalski and SuperAnima - which translates to something very sad in Italian - communicate?). psychological introspection is non-existent. the story is on the verge of being terse. sweeping shots and long takes of the Nevada desert are empty. some editing quirks are stunning (like the scene where he has the flashback of the motorcycle races), but it's extremely limited. I don't even feel like voting for it.
Roberto Benigni La Vita E' Bella
Voto:
As for the reception, it's definitely brief, and one can always say more about a film of this kind (clearly expanding on this line). In my opinion, it's impossible not to agree with what you say: because this film is unbearable. But perhaps I say this because I see it with today's eyes. With the eyes of someone who loved Benigni "when he didn’t have dentures" and talked about "waves" on TV, while eating the hay from the set of TeleVacca when everything was "either black or white" (on these four quoted words regarding Benigni, one should reflect well beyond simple taste judgments). Now Benigni has invested in himself, memorizing the Divine Comedy (because it should be remembered that in live performances he doesn’t read). And clearly, such a massive investment cannot be made in oneself to last a short time. One must always aim for the maximum. In economics, it’s called the "law of returns."
Michael Jackson Dangerous

Am I being inappropriate if I say that you guys are really annoying with these reviews on M. Jackson?
Shinya Tsukamoto Tokyo Fist
Voto:
What a thing. Seriously, Tsukamoto is one of the best, hands down.
Shinya Tsukamoto Tokyo Fist

a truly WORTHY review of the film. well done!! damn, sorry for the two exclamation points but for me Tsukamoto is really almost everything.
Eli Roth Hostel 2
Voto:
Yes, anyway, be careful with genres and definitions. This is a horror. I don't think anyone has ever called it "splatter." Only Rondi and Marzullo could fall into these traps, but it's also true that they make things up and interview Fausto Brizzi because they prefer him to Lynch.
Sonic Youth Daydream Nation
Voto:
Nice record. It can also be a pragmatic way to understand the reason behind the recurring guitar constructions in Marlene Kuntz. Anyway, I can't stand Youth. I find them fake, musically speaking. Really fake.
Peter Jackson The Lord Of The Rings
Voto:
Behind this trilogy, there's a work you can't even imagine. And as for Tolkien, he wasn't just a writer. He was also a linguist and a philologist, a profound connoisseur of medieval English and Germanic languages. He wasn't a fool, and it took him over 20 years to write The Lord of the Rings.
Steven Spielberg Incontri Ravvicinati Del Terzo Tipo

... and Poletti's sclerotic episode is also delightful. A true psychiatric drama: at first, he takes cover behind the debaserian crowd when there’s agreement, then he riddles them with bullets and burns them alive when the opinion is against. By the way, did I say opinion? That wasn’t the term I was looking for. Opinion and "Poletti" are two terms that are evidently incompatible.
