yes yes, frankie "case study" 1357.

Incredible film. With a Gassman who truly pushes the limits in this performance, and with the twist scene on the seafront that has a Hitchcockian touch.

Well, the 3 is in the center anyway. Maybe I was rushing, but the fact that it’s poorly shot is a serious issue in a film, let alone in a film that has the budget that these productions do.

excellent review. you definitely knew, even if you didn't write it, that certain shots/reverse shots in the film were filmed months apart, if not an entire year, and in different locations. legendary Orson Welles. one of the greatest directors of all time. I propose Stipe as a case study.

oh fuck, I had never seen this list before. And I recently discovered the one for literary cases too. Debaser never fails to (in)stupid(ify) me.

hahaha, apart from the fact that the Flaherty ones are not much more documentaries than this. indeed, much much less. the scenes of Nanook of the North were shot just like for a fiction film.

I like the reception. Strange reactions from the upstairs. Honestly, the film disappointed me a bit; the scene with the kissing snails and a few others were excellent, but there's also a lot of fiction and somewhat clever, made-to-order construction. Like when the dung beetle "punctures" its ball of dung on a little stick that comes out of the ground like a nail. There’s even a scene with alternating cuts focusing on the nail and the "expressions" of the insect. It's clear it's charming, but as a documentary (ontologically speaking), it’s worth nothing.

The rating is not related to the fact that I didn't like the review (that has nothing to do with it; I don't rate reviews based on personal taste regarding the works being reviewed) but to the fact that, all in all, you do not give a positive judgment on the film. If you write that the director is incompetent, that must mean something, yet you give it a 3. Which, on a scale from 1 to 5, is above passing.

the "shy cinephile erections" is truly embarrassing.

I can proudly say that I've seen all the Harry Potters from the trailers, and this one definitely seems like the worst. A 1 for the film on trust. A 2 for the reviewer being too generous with the ratings.
