"This kid must have heard a lot of music." I can't help but think the same when I listen to his stuff.

I got that bold sentence from Wikipedia, genius. Everything else is mine. Besides the (lots of) music I listen to, I'm also an expert (in) crap music.

Cradle of Filth Thornography

I have been following them intermittently for a long time (maybe because they are also veeeery inconsistent) and the alternating highs and lows is precisely "the thing" that has trapped them for a few years now. Perhaps it’s because they release an album every year. In the end, it's not necessary to be so punctual in delivering new work... especially since there's nothing else to talk about but "releases." Damn, I mean, when the hell will we hear an album like Cruelty And The Beast again, for Christ's sake!? Now I'll have to download Thornography... at least out of curiosity to hear D.F. "singing." P.S.: Unlike works like Cruelty (truly unique in their discography), the more recent ones seem flattened, perhaps due to songwriting that is too blended and mushy, which doesn’t highlight the songs themselves nor make them shine.
Ghost In The Shell L'attacco dei cyborg: Original Soundtrack by Kenji Kawai

I almost forgot: throughout the whole movie, not even one breast is shown (not even a butt by mistake!!) and the ending is one of the most "thrown down the drain" things I've seen lately.
Ghost In The Shell L'attacco dei cyborg: Original Soundtrack by Kenji Kawai

Regarding the film, the first Ghost In The Shell is a masterpiece... the second one is dreadful (the choice to overlay animated characters on computer-generated backgrounds is unforgivable. at certain points in the film, it’s so jarring and disturbing that it detracts from the attention that should be paid to the film itself. you messed up, Oshii. and for that, you will be punished.) the soundtrack, however (of the first and second, it’s Oscar-worthy, damn it). the only problem is that there are no Oscars in Japan. what do we do about that? someone will have to be punished for this.

the misery that gets reviewed... good job. Current 93 were recommended to me on this very site, I haven’t had the chance yet but at this point I hope to soon.
