5. Pacs: if they were like marriage, then why not just get married? The fact is that Pacs go against the universally accepted concept of family as the backbone of society. The mere union of two people, without bonds and obligations towards each other and any potential children, is a way to dismantle the social system, of which, as I mentioned, the natural family (mom, dad, and children) is the primary and fundamental basis. The purpose of marriage is the preservation of an orderly and cohesive society. Giving equal dignity to unions (which I want to be clear… I do not despise but rather respect) based on the “as long as it works for me, I’ll stay, when I’m no longer interested, I’ll be free to leave (running away from responsibilities)” is problematic. As for gay marriages… I’m not completely opposed. Only, for the reasons stated earlier, I don’t believe it’s right to put potential gay marriages on the same level as true marriages, because the latter are the foundation of family, while the former are not. 2. As for the electoral law, the "porcata" lies in the absence of preference, not in the proportional system. It's been said for months that it was done to favor the Center-right... well, the Left says that... but what the Left (or anyone else) says is not necessarily the Truth... Everyone forms their own opinions on the matter, right? Mine is that the proportional system is fairer because it is more representative, as it gives a "voice" to smaller parties.
