Damn, another critic has arrived on Debaser, and they all have such great imagination, they all speak the same way, all these reviews of bucatini cacio e pepe are the same! Now we have the punisher, the shitting dog, and the steel shitter. Come on, people, come on!

The last sentence sums up the entire discography of Placebo (but can you write it?). I wouldn’t bet this is their most famous album; for me, it’s perhaps the second one. I agree that Placebo is a very commercial proposition, I agree that some songs are really cheesy to the point of being awful, I concede that sometimes it truly feels like music for pimply, dark teenage girls, and yet… and yet they remind me of so many things, I discovered them when they were just debuting, and memories are a nasty beast. They still appeal to me; I find some songs really well-made, and I quite like their latest album. In the end, it’s a venial sin… the album you reviewed is the best for me along with "Without You I'm Nothing."
