As for Depeche Mode, I also have that CD, and regardless of the fact that I can’t stand the remixes, the discussion can't be compared to The Cure, because they are two completely different genres. For Depeche Mode (whom I also adore), releasing an album like that isn’t really shocking given the rhythms of their personality, but The Cure is the exact opposite of their origins, it’s obvious! We’re talking about the birth of the dark world, only to end up with commercial dance records, DANCE RECORDS! DANCE RECORDS AAAAAAA NOOOOOOO we can’t accept that!

I repeat, tastes are not up for discussion. I deliberately made a NEGATIVE review of older tracks that should have remained as dad made them, and instead, in my opinion, this is a more total amputation that has astonished a certain segment of The Cure fans. Listening to this disco album is inconceivable, but if it’s evidence of the decline, then there’s a reason for it. Therefore, a remix album is proof of this drop, and personally, it disappointed me.

For Sylvian: yes, debaser serves to dust off memories, and it helps to rediscover what has been inadvertently or humanly beautiful that has been lost or misplaced along the way. But if something beautiful is felt in the heart, neither dust nor time can afford to remain dying in an archive. Just by taking it back into your hands over time, you can savor again that sweet music that filled empty and monotonous days. If you feel it inside and want it, nothing can stop you; that sweet music is there waiting for you, and simply listening can be of such beauty and importance, I would say rarity, that it would be a shame to set it aside in an archive to gather dust and darkness in the soul. This is what I think about what has value. Goodbye...

On Monday, we start working again; maybe it's for the best. Here at home, there's such a silence that I fill it on rotation with my CDs...

Domo? Set aside the latest albums by the Cure and deeply savor the intensity of the earlier ones, don't get confused, you might ruin something extraordinary that will always remain theirs, it's a friendly piece of advice, trust me!

You ask me why it sucks? Because making REMIXES of masterpieces basically means DESTROYING a work of art (the same has been done by Depeche Mode, I have no words even for them!)

Then tastes are not to be discussed; I wanted to write a NEGATIVE review of a group that I love and that is very dear to me for what they give to my heart. But if there's something to contradict, it just has to be done. Everyone is free in their ideas and thoughts, and that's great; we are here for that, right?

It's horrifying, I have nothing else to say, no explanations for songs born in beauty and burned in disco mixes. For goodness' sake, I went back to reread the other reviews of The Cure today, and I reiterate that after "Wish," nothing has been the same; Robert hit his head and fell into a deep low, and that’s it. An album like "Wild Mood Swings" is horrifying! Can you believe we’re talking about the icon and embodiment of dark music, who releases an album that sounds like it's straight out of the Caribbean islands, complete with coconuts, bananas, and palm trees? Have you even listened to it? Are we joking or being serious here? It makes me itch. The Cure created masterpieces of dark music but ended up making their last albums filled with empty, soulless tunes. Really, that monstrous CD "Wild Mood Swings" makes you feel like you’re sipping a cold drink by the crystal-clear sea under the scorching sun... and let's not even discuss the latest album "The Cure." Nothing will distort what I love about them and will love forever, but they ended poorly, leaving disappointment for those who watched them grow. I will never forget the concert they held in Milan many, many years ago at the Arena; you could feel the most absolute pain pouring in, you could feel the soul burning while he swayed slowly and gracefully on stage. It was extraordinary, it was the real Robert. That’s how I feel.
