Indeed, the lyrics of this album are among the best written by Bono. I prefer them to those from many of their other albums because here there is none of that desperate, grandiloquent preaching tone that Bono displayed in the albums...

I compared him to Roger Waters because I was likening the album to "Animals" by Pink Floyd, in terms of content, not music, and I did make the necessary distinctions. To tell the truth, I didn't just do double reviews; I was the first so far to review "Introduce Yourself" by Faith No More. For the genre... I chose the one that seemed most fitting at that moment, and indeed I was torn between "crossover" and "alternative."

The observation you make about me, Bowie, that I’m someone "with a bit of an ear," pleases me greatly... and in the end, what you say is true: in my opinion, there aren't too many differences between the "old" and the "new" U2. Whether we’re talking about one or the other incarnation of their artistic career, we always refer to a music that can be fully defined as "pop," so one could say that U2 has been quite good at playing with the form while keeping the substance intact.
