To the last commentator: you’ve listed a string of heresies. You, of all people, judging the sincerity of Grunge, but perhaps you don’t remember that Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain, Andrew Wood, and Shannon Hoon are all dead, and people don’t die just to impress their fans. If the media exploited the Grunge trend, that’s another story, but the sincerity of the artists is beyond question. As for clothing, based on your reasoning, everyone is an idiot—Judas Priest for starting to wear studs to Robert Smith of the Cure for wearing makeup... And then, according to you, MM would be the most authentic and real of them all? Absurd, in the beginning, he was Trent Reznor’s puppet, now he’s the media’s puppet, and he doesn’t even make an impression anymore. One last thing: if you notice, I didn’t vote for the album.

x blu: agreed, here we enter the realm of perspectives; what seems ridiculous to me may not be so for others. However, in my opinion, MM exaggerates in the image and that makes it pathetic (in my eyes).

I, unlike the "do-gooders," am not scandalized by what Mr. Manson says or does; I simply find his attitudes and disguises ridiculous. I would have more respect for him and his music if he didn't behave like such a buffoon.
