Marilyn Manson The Golden Age Of Grotesque
Voto:
Matteo, the story about the ribs was told to me days ago by one of his fans... can you believe it? I still had a hard time believing it. However, the urban legends circulating around the name Marilyn Manson are due to the alternative image he has always tried to project. In the end, I believe he is a person who rightly criticizes his society. From this point of view, I appreciate him, but on the other hand, he places too much importance on the image: that's why he gets on my nerves. Just my personal opinion, of course.
Slipknot Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)

I’m not ashamed of anything at all, the expression "recommended only for the most hardcore (and stupid) fans" was just a way to warn those fans that this album is a half-assed piece of junk. Clearly, you misunderstood; if I really wanted to mock someone, that someone was the band itself. After all, you felt entitled to make fun of Coltrane (someone who KNOWS HOW TO PLAY HIS INSTRUMENT), and I can't insult Slipknot? And as for "the mockery" and insults, you might want to reread all your comments in the various reviews.

Matteo, if you like Slipknot, you are not authorized to call me a fool. I specified in the forum that I like their first album and that this one is better than Iowa, while considering them mediocre musicians (except for Jordison). Can’t I write a review that negatively judges something you like? Sure, I could have written it better and longer, but I don't think that's the issue. Why should I be ashamed? Do you think I let someone else's opinions influence me? Well, if that's the case, you're sorely mistaken. I ask you to respond civilly. Thank you.

Cradle Of Filth The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh

Dominate, the problem isn't that Dani is short, the problem is that he’s full of himself and even wears heels on stage... he's a little faggot who wants to act superior, with his leather pants, studs, and piercing: a character for pseudo-alternative teens who live on bread and Buffy. However, this album along with Dusk and Cruelty is the most serious of Cradle, and perhaps the darkest as well. After Cruelty, they become increasingly annoying, commercial, and repetitive. Personal opinions obviously... Fallen, it seems like you're writing for the "classics of horror" series, anyway great review. Really well done.
Meshuggah Destroy Erase Improve

I think they refer quite a bit to Nietzsche. The German philosopher was against any kind of cult, but he certainly wasn’t a Satanist; he preached the death of God, but only to demonstrate that there was nothing superior to man himself; moreover, he opposed all types of political-social beliefs (Marxism, capitalism, etc.). Then the phrase destroy erase improve is clearly Nietzschean in nature, where destroy and erase stand for the destruction and negation of prevailing beliefs and socio-political systems, and the word improve can be linked to the concept of the Übermensch. The struggle against the "mechanical" future is also typical of a certain extreme right conservatism. Could they be a little bit like Nazis?

I gave the black album 4/5 because it moves me in one way or another. If this album had come from an Italian rock band, I would have given it 3/5, but let's not forget that it was made by a band called METALLICA. You understand what I'm trying to say... anyway, great review.
