Nice sample... I would say very rag! Speaking of this genre, I also remember the tribute from a then very young Keith Jarrett in "Pardon my rags". Bye ;)

I missed the line breaks in Fortini's poem, damn it ;)) Remedy: "My father would become tender about his own death/hearing the allegretto of the Seventh." Re-hello ;)
Ludwig Van Beethoven Sinfonia No. 7

My father
was moved by his own death
upon hearing the allegretto of the Seventh.
I also wanted to thank Zigghio for his comment on the allegretto. After all, the most beautiful review of the Seventh, and of the allegretto, was really written by the great Florentine poet Franco Fortini. In these three wonderful lines (the poem from which they are taken is "Il seme"). This is the emotion that the allegretto conveys. And only a true poet like Fortini could convey it so deeply :) Hi everyone ;)) JoP

Great review, Stefanet, as always! I don’t know her, so I’ll have to look into it. But it’s true... the relationship between music and beauty is often strange. There are illustrious examples in this regard. My ā€œclassicalā€ side reminds me of Linda Brava, a Finnish violinist who became famous "for posing for Playboy" (for those interested, I recommend the website, not the boring recitals on CD...) or (but that's a whole different story) the beautiful (and very talented) Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kozena. Bye ;))

Ah fado... a music genre that I both love and hate, for me. I don't listen to it much, but after this review I’ll definitely have to give it another listen... The fatedestiny sometimes needs a little help, right? Well done Hal!
Carmelo Bene Lectura Dantis
Voto:
A controversial character, Carmelo Bene. I consider him a genius in some ways (some passages of "Pinocchio," for example). But I don't know... he's never fully convinced me. For a while now, I've been unsure whether to buy his "Works," but I still haven't... I don't even know why. However, I do like the definition of "rock star" (with which I completely agree).
Johann Sebastian Bach Glenn Gould: Invenzioni a due voci e sinfonie a tre voci
Voto:
Essential review, but very, very deeply felt and "epidermic". Great Mullah, as always. You did very well to emphasize the "interweaving" between the voices, because those "voices" in Bach are like bodies entwined, clouds in pursuit of one another, threads weaving a beautiful musical tapestry that creates an immense mosaic of ever-changing sensations. Gould’s Bach is simply eternal.

Congratulations Stefanet! I don't know him either, but now I'll have to get it. Especially after reading the references to Oscar Peterson, who is one of my absolute favorite pianists. A giant of the keyboard with the lightness of a butterfly in his fingers. I agree with Hal about the samples! Hi, JoP
