Knowing that someone appreciates this album surprises me much less than noticing that many consider this short girl with a peasant face to be a hottie. (Y

A little film without too many pretensions that, however, has the merit of being watchable even today. It’s certain that Tarantino took notes while watching it.

There is always too little talk about the Mx-80, and whenever it happens, it’s always about this album, even though the more anarchic predecessor "Hard Attack" and the darker successor "Crowd Control" are just as remarkable. The Mx-80 are truly an unusual band, guitar-oriented like old rock but experimental and offbeat like the best American groups of their time. This album has a good quality standard, but the only masterpiece track for me is "Frankie I'm Sorry."

I don't know the early days of Whitehouse, but I know where they ended up later. I actually think they succeeded in their goal, that of making "the most extreme music ever made."

Having a couple of works by Akita San, whose immediate impact is striking but eventually becomes quite dull, hearing about melodies and danceable rhythms in one of his CDs (or rather Mp3...) piques my interest quite a bit. Good review.

@CPTGAIO: well, my memory is definitely playing tricks on me :-). "Golden age" is certainly an inaccurate term, and I was hesitant to use it; let's say that adolescence is viewed as the most important period in life, there you go. P.s.: I really hope "Tokyo Decadence" did NOT shape you!
