I miss this, but I have both "Halber Mensch" and the collection of the earliest material "Kalte Sterne," which were truly impressive back then.

I had it in mp3, but then I lost it somewhere... I didn't have much time to listen to it, but what I did hear I liked a lot. Really brave and "ahead of their time."

Congratulations to whoever wrote "boycott scaruffi forever!!!" as if to say that this album deserves to be hated because it’s Pierino's favorite. If it's true that the great and sorely missed John Peel referred to this album as "THE masterpiece," it can be said that Scaruffi didn't discover anything new and simply jumped on the bandwagon of a widely held opinion among many journalists and industry insiders; his contribution has been merely educational, and this is a great album regardless of what he thinks.
P.S.: I can't stand Scaruffi either.

Not to mention "Take On Me".... But tell me, have you ever tried listening to the two songs I mentioned in the previous post back to back? If the answer is no, give it a shot, then let me know if you noticed anything strange.

Very well done, you were right to write another review (the previous one was little more than an anecdote), but why just three? Despite all the 60s albums I've listened to (Velvet Underground, Doors, Pink Floyd, Stooges, Rolling Stones), this is undoubtedly the best, the only one that truly excited me. It doesn't feel dated even when listening to it today.

I don't know them, but the review is a blast.

The track "What U Waiting For?" produced by a former Buggles also entertained me. The rest, however, was ultra-kitch fluff from a could-have-been Madonna. I have no doubt that this is nonsense.

Yes, I actually prefer "The Sun Always Shine On TV" to "Beautiful Day"....

Making a pop album isn't inherently a mortal sin, but you need to have ideas; otherwise, like with all genres, it ends up being a mess. I don't understand the surprise of those who didn't expect such an album; U2 have long been champions of this retirement-style pop(rock), measured, with arrangements and melodies that never stray too far from the lines, and that dose of melodrama so beloved by Bono. In short: music that would look right at home only at San Remo. Listening to this record, I thought of A-ha, Robbie Williams, Zucchero...
