Just to confirm what psychopompe said: I went to see it in the cinema after watching "Ghost In The Shell," and as a result, it made very little impression on me. The themes of artificial intelligence and parallel reality immediately struck me as copycat ideas. I carefully avoided the sequels and I guess I was right to do so.

What do you want me to say, "Exciter" is far from being a masterpiece but it is very well produced, some tracks approach mediocrity, some even verge on being overly sentimental, but at least it never falls into the heaviness like in "People Are People" and "If You Want". Not to mention that even SGR himself falls into disarming sentimentality in "Somebody" (and a little bit in "It Doesn't Matter"). Anyway, the difference between the two albums is half a point.

Well, yes! :-) Although to be precise it deserves a bit more than two. On the other hand, I would rate the rest of the discography from 3 and up, even when it comes to the underrated Exciter.

I liked it a lot in the cinema, but when I saw it on TV two years later, I downgraded it quite a bit. In the end, it's a film that follows the same false line as "Robocop" but with less imagination. Watching it again today, I can only give it a 2.5. The commercial exploitation that was done at the time, speculating on the death of the protagonist, is scandalous and unscrupulous.

Well, for me a bit yes, even if in the end it's one of the best tracks of the album and prevents it from collapsing.

Good, less lengthy and rambling than "Pulp Fiction." Rating 3.5

Excellent record, perhaps the best American album of those years. Startling in its blend of alienating electronics and "visceral" singing. I appreciate this album also because it has inspired D.a.f., one of my absolute favorite bands. For fans of Suicide, I also recommend Alan Vega's collaborations with Pan Sonic. The review? A mere two for encouragement; you could have put in more effort.

Rece is a blast, starting from the score.
