"the elections were cheerfully manipulated" indeed the Americans have perfectly exported their model of democracy :-) Jokes aside, I think that that kind of "democracy" or so-called one they are trying to establish in Afghanistan is better than what was there before, which was truly the worst of the worst, that's all. However, I also don’t think that "democracy" fits well everywhere and at all times; in Iraq, for example, I fear many are longing for the dictatorship.

In my opinion, the review has been copied from somewhere. It's written too well.

Interesting, also because I am looking for something melodic but not clichéd.

I have it (on cassette), and at the time it didn't convince me much either. Maybe I should listen to it again, but I don't think I could reassess this work which is indeed listenable but too "cover band" for my tastes. I've always had a poor connection with revivals.

Well, democracy is already here since those in power now were elected. Let’s say it’s everything else that’s missing... Still, it’s better than when the barbalunga were in control, at least now if you watch a soccer match you can cheer freely without fear of getting beaten up, you can trim your beard, and, believe it or not, you can listen to music.

Yes, indeed "liver with a side of broad beans" is a striking, cinematic phrase, quite unlikely, it's worth mentioning, however, that the "remorse" of certain serial killers is more due to their lawyer's strategy than to any genuine regret. This is, at least, my humble opinion.

@Mistergigi: found it, I remembered correctly, Ted Bundy helped the police with the investigations on Gary Ridgway known as the Green River Killer. The other "inconsistencies" you mention can indeed be there, but I know that it's about cinema and so I don't expect reality to be represented faithfully.
In movies, thunder is heard simultaneously with the sight of lightning, crashed cars always explode, celery always pops out of the grocery bag, and cannibal serial killers escape in a dramatic fashion; what can you do, it's cinema.

I've never heard one of his tracks, but the cover that the Human League did of "Rock And Roll" is a blast.
