A critic once said: "It has little to do with genre films, but it could explain Auschwitz..."
Another: "They should ban it for anyone under 90..."

Damn, I wanted to do it myself!!! Anyway, the comparisons to Kubrick are limited to the resemblance between the two delinquents and the drughi: all in white uniforms, all flaunting an educated language. The little family is so annoying that soon you start rooting for the two goons, but that's probably the effect the director was aiming for. Chilling is the quarter of an hour after the death of the little one with the camera fixed on the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
George A. Romero La notte dei morti viventi

Excellent, there's no denying it. If you haven't done so already, I recommend reading Danse Macabre by Stephen King, an essay on horror cinema and literature. Of course, you will find a special mention for both Romero and Matheson.
Giuseppe Tornatore La Leggenda Del Pianista Sull'Oceano

The duel is, objectively, quite unrealistic. Novecento wins by playing a series (if I'm not mistaken, always the same) of random notes at supersonic speed. However, if we want to delve into the supposed genius of Novecento, into the reasons behind his talent, then we demand to give a logical premise to everything. The story is decent, not memorable but not worth throwing away either. Ah, for duels, I prefer the one in Crossroads between Steve Vai and Ralph Macchio.

Of course, nothing to do with the nonsense of the Vanzina brothers. The ones from "festivo" have absolutely nothing to offer. But I still remember the fantastic toy megastore from "Mamma ho perso..."

The goodness of a film should not be considered only in reference to its intrinsic quality but also for what it has represented. The film is light-hearted, unpretentious, set during Christmas (when everyone is nicer, even the critics) and is always broadcast on TV during the holidays. The film is indissolubly linked to the carefree spirit of the Christmas winter holidays. In short, it can only evoke happy memories and often, that is enough for a positive judgment. Poletti, as they say in Naples: e magnatella na' risata!!!

A child prodigy who then ended up forgotten, perhaps rightly so, perhaps not. Everyone praised him, but let’s not forget Joe Pesci.
Ted Kotcheff Rambo

A fundamental film for outlining the pen in which the youth of the eighties grazed, alongside Rocky, Terminator, Back to the Future. Stallone is as expressive as a farmed trout, but Rambo (like Rocky) is a character tailor-made for him, one only he could portray.
John Scofield Überjam

Blues, Jazz, Rock, Funky, experimentation. There’s nothing in which Scofield doesn’t shine.
