I've never doubted the greatness of Jeff; rather, I criticized some commercial choices. Even the most detrimental trends have exceptions. And the "goofy-demented" trend, reminiscent of a summer afternoon, has the exception of Porky's, which, while not aiming to be a masterpiece, was at least watchable. Although perhaps the godfather of all these films is Animal House, but there, the name of Landis as director already elevates it to a cult film that transcends the genre.

The school of rock wasn't bad. Completely over the top too (the scene where the two clueless guys kneel in front of Alice Cooper is legendary). For this kind of films, only Porky's was worth anything...
