Soul Asylum Grave Dancers Union

I'm listening to it right now. Good album, but I think it's not a 4-star one, rather a 3 and a half. There is sometimes a forced attempt to seek easy melodies...

Crying in the Rain is not performed by Vai... Vai steps in on the next album after 1987.
Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Well, since you're so curious, among the cover tracks on that album is Lovin' touchin' squeazin' by Journey...
Dream Theater Chaos in Motion 2007-2008

I would like to read the contracts that tie the Theater to the record labels because I'm afraid they force the band to release at least one album or DVD per year. By now, the live albums are countless, mostly utterly avoidable, and all very similar to each other. One example worth considering is Pain Of Salvation: just one live album, and even then with the tracks rearranged in an acoustic version. The impression that the Theater is now just messing with the fans is growing stronger.

I'm waiting for the price to drop and I'll buy this album; everyone speaks very highly of it, and the previous three are anything but disappointing.
Tygers of Pan Tang Animal Instinct

Well, they started out in practice with Iron Maiden but had a very different fortune (and of course, very different abilities). I have Wreck Age, a good AOR album from them that had nothing to do with their early days.

A few days ago, I managed to snag a first pressing EMI from 1989 on Ebay at a great price. It's a real shame that this record is so hard to find; I expect it will be reissued sooner or later, just like what happened with Long way from love, the only solo album by Mark Free.
Van Halen Best Of, Volume 1
Voto:
The decline for Van Halen began with Sammy Hagar's departure from the band, with his arrival. Paradoxically, with the departure of David Lee Roth, Van Halen experienced their most significant moment, at least from a sales perspective. If I'm not mistaken, it's only with Hagar that they had number one albums on Billboard. Sammy Hagar couldn't boast the charisma and personality of "Diamond" Dave, but he undoubtedly had an astounding vocal technique. The band moved into more AOR territories, which was seen by early fans as almost a betrayal, but at least until Balance, the discography of Van Halen (or Van Hagar, as they were ironically dubbed) is an absolute must-have; let's leave the best of to other bands...
AC/DC If You Want Blood.. You've Got It
Voto:
Yesterday, in a record store, their latest single was playing in the background. It's incredible how they always manage to sound the same; if they were trying to do it on purpose, they wouldn't succeed...
Marilyn Manson The Last Tour On Earth

Elected, what Manson does he was already doing before you were born Ozzy Osbourne, Blackie Lawless, Alice Cooper... Come on, let's not give him credit he doesn't deserve...
